Matt Sykes
Matt is the Chief Operating Officer of Pottinger.
Matt has extensive experience in finance, accounting and operations management. Prior to joining Pottinger, Matt was the Chief Financial Officer of the Hal Group, a privately held company providing lease finance to consumers, corporates and government. Matt was responsible for the accounting and finance, credit and risk, and IT divisions. He was responsible for managing wholesale funding relationships with partners such as Société Générale and the National Australia Bank.
Prior to this, Matt gained experience in Chartered Accounting firms. He provided a range of assurance services to a diverse group of public and private companies, including external audit, internal audit, due diligence, and risk review.
Matt also spent two years working in Thailand in a voluntary capacity at Grace International School, where he was involved in management, finance and accounting, teaching, coaching, and pastoral support.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Business from UTS and is a Chartered Accountant. He has undertaken postgraduate studies in law, and is currently completing his MBA through MGSM.
